When we were in the middle of the pandemic, locked down, we went out to the patio with my daughter Lourdes to look for bugs. She loves them, so we explored until we found all kinds. At that moment I thought about making a capazo with the passion of Lourdes and the Queen of Bugs came to life. A little face with black hair and details with different bugs in countless materials: horsehair, beads, beads, crystals and hand embroidery. Here her companion is born, the hand-embroidered velvet bug, the most important thing for Lourdes.
Flexible hand-woven straw Capazo . With velvet tassels and black polka dot tulle. Handmade flowers of different textures and black fabrics, which play between opaque and shiny. These flowers are worked petal by petal by a Chilean artist named Claudia. Faces painted by national artist Marganilo. Velvet bug embroidered with gold thread by Anita, a great thread artist.
Each capazo is delivered in a bag that must be used for storage after each use. This helps protect it from possible damage and keep it in good condition. It is important to avoid exposing the capazo to the sun when not in use. Direct sunlight can cause discoloration and deterioration of the material.
It should not be submerged in water or come into contact with rain. It is also important not to overload it, since it is a delicate piece. The designer Isabel Margarita Vial will assist you personally if your capazo needs to be checked or restored indefinitely. To do this you can write to us through our contact form.
