The inspiration for this work came from my horseback riding through my countryside, where I watched the large sunflowers follow the movement of the sun on the horizon, with their black tips standing out against the vibrant yellow of the surroundings. I represented this phenomenon through circles woven from horsehair, skillfully braided by my friend Flor. As I approached the sunflowers, I was amazed to discover that they were full of bees, creating a dreamlike landscape. The bees are represented through detailed beads, all made by hand and with wire that gives them realism in their movement. This incredible piece of art was created by the talented Chilean artist Mónica.

Wicker Capazo shaped like a suitcase, black circles of mane (hair from the horse's tail) woven in the braiding technique by Flor. The mostacilla and mostacillón bugs have movement since they are made with wire made by the artisan Mónica.

Each capazo is delivered in a bag that must be used for storage after each use. This helps protect it from possible damage and keep it in good condition. It is important to avoid exposing the capazo to the sun when not in use. Direct sunlight can cause discoloration and deterioration of the material.

It should not be submerged in water or come into contact with rain. It is also important not to overload it, since it is a delicate piece. The designer Isabel Margarita Vial will assist you personally if your capazo needs to be checked or restored indefinitely. To do this you can write to us through our contact form.
