Through this trip, we long to share the soul of Chile, the passion of its people
and the greatness of its traditions.
"Touring Chile" is a wonderful project that I started, together with my beloved artisans, which encompasses the beauty and richness of our country from north to south. It is a testimony of a journey that goes beyond the geographical, making its way into the depth of the ancestral techniques of the talented Chilean artisans and the incomparable beauty of our natural riches. It is a tribute to the hands that, with skill and love, weave the nobility and richness of our spirit into each creation.
With the passion that burns in our hearts, together with my talented artisans, we long to carry out authentic Chilean craftsmanship hand in hand with the sparkles of the world of fashion and luxury. We hope that each creation is an ambassador of the nobility and human wealth that lies in each fabric, in each detail made with care and love.
My dream is that our pieces, like magical threads, weave bridges between cultures and that, through them, the union of elegance with authenticity is celebrated. May the world recognize the artistic mastery and soul that our hands place in each creation.
Through this journey, we long to share the soul of Chile, the passion of its people and the greatness of its traditions, allowing each garment to tell a story, a story that connects hearts and transcends borders. "Touring Chile" thus becomes a sublime journey that goes beyond the material, because in each stitch we carry a little piece of our spirit and the hope that fashion can be a canvas where respect for culture and beauty can be found. intertwine
in an eternal embrace.
By touring our Chile, each of us gets a piece of that earthly paradise and heritage, filling ourselves with inspiration and energy in every step we take, an energy that translates into the beauty and passion of our creations.
Within the Recorriendo Chile project, we find different collections that highlight noble materials from our country, such as: copper, which gives life to the "Las Riquezas de Chile" collection, wicker, the protagonist of the "Amuletos" collection, horsehair, which is transforms into "Joyas del Crin", the ñocha, called "Our Araucanía" and the feathers, which are part of the "Arte Plumario" collection.
“My proposal as a designer is born from these ancestral professions, which
makes visible the richness of Chile's cultural heritage as a sacred
jewel. We have brought these pieces to life in collaboration with talented
"cultivators of weaving in wicker, straw, ñocha, copper and horsehair."

The Amulets Collection presents a variety of elegant wicker suitcases, covered in velvet and adorned with unique copper designs. These creations are enhanced with semi-precious stones, giving life to a stunning range of wicker and straw maxi baskets and clutches. Universes and circles woven of copper are intertwined with the stones
semiprecious stones that crown each capazo , creating compositions
sublime. Artisans, custodians of our identity, transmit their
respect for nature in each fabric, and it is through these pieces that
This ancestral knowledge is preserved.
The Amulets Collection is an authentic divine offering, where each capazo bears the name of a goddess and is wrapped in the magical energy of semi-precious stones, intertwined with divine copper circles. These designs are rooted in the heritage of Chimbarongo, the city of origin of wicker, recognized with the Seal
of Origen for their invaluable contribution
to the culture of Chile and proclaimed.
Born from nature, the wicker rod, obtained from willow bushes, is the base of each capazo . The flexibility of wicker makes it easy to weave, and Don José's hands transform each stem and branch into beautiful baskets. Each piece is an amulet, a jewel, uniting the firmness of wicker with the beauty of semi-precious stones and
the shine of copper.
Here, you'll find semi-precious stones such as obsidian, citrine, amethyst, smoky quartz, and black tourmaline, taking center stage in the capazos . In addition, twelve other stones, such as garnet, calcite, rose quartz, white quartz, coral,
Malachite, tourmaline, moonstone, jasper, tiger's eye, pyrite and lapis lazuli are intertwined with copper threads in smaller versions, creating a symphony of protection and good energies.

The Joyas del Crin Collection is a hymn to collaboration, combining my
vision of design with the ancestral legacy of the artisans, Flor, Susana,
Mariela, Ana María, María de los Ángeles, Edith, Isabel and Milsa. Each piece,
Made in the unique technique of horsehair weaving, it is a
unique and unrepeatable reflection of this art that has flourished in the town of
Rari, Colbún, for more than 200 years.

The artisans have rescued an ancestral tradition, weaving with horsehair
horse to create figures and patterns inspired by its environment and life
everyday. The flexibility and resistance of horsehair offer a
exceptional platform for creativity and art. In the privacy of
their homes, these women dedicate hours to creating these pieces
unique, passing their knowledge from generation to generation.
Horsehair, a natural fiber obtained from the tail of horses, is the essence of each capazo in the Joyas del Crin Collection. Each creation is a joint collaboration with the artisans, who are inspired by the beauty and symbolism of this material, to create truly magnificent works of art.
This meticulous work and shared inspiration make each piece unique and deeply rooted in Chilean artisan tradition.
The Joyas del Crin Collection is a celebration of creativity, craft, and essence
of local culture.

The "Riquezas de Chile" Collection is a living tribute to the essence of
our beloved land: copper. Each piece in this collection transforms this metal into a work of art and fashion, a unique piece that reflects the wealth and beauty of Chile. This collection is much more than a series of creations; is a visual narrative that combines a variety of shapes and textures to paint a canvas of our cultural heritage.

At the epicenter of this dance of learning and creation is the collaboration with Monica, an incredibly talented artisan who, with her magical touch, brings an exquisite mix of skill and love to each creation. In parallel, my vision guides the transformation of copper, merging art and fashion into a single concept. This play of synergy is essential in the entire process, it is through our joint work that the copper, originally rigid, softens and comes to life. Thus, step by step, the
The coldness of metal is transmuted into a warm piece, an expression of fashion and art.
The Riquezas de Chile Collection goes beyond traditional limits, adopting innovative techniques in the creation of each piece. Inspired by the Peruvian Knitting technique, this style has been adopted and adapted in the production of each capazo .
This meticulous process involves the use of copper, transforming it through careful and dedicated weaving into shapes and patterns that reflect the richness and beauty of the universe. Each copper capazo thus becomes a narration of magical stories, full of cultures and dedication, an authentic expression of Chilean craftsmanship.

The Nuestra Araucanía Collection is an inspiring creation born in the homonymous region of Chile, where the majestic forests of Lake Budi rise. In this reserve, rich in biodiversity, we discovered a stemless plant, with an elongated and thick leaf, known as ñocha. This plant, traditionally used by Mapuche families to weave bags for collecting potatoes and seafood, becomes the heart of each capazo , representing our Chilean identity.
and the legacy of our land and our ancestors.

The collection of ñocha fiber occurs during the first rains
of winter, taking advantage of its firmness. The collectors, understanding the
delicate balance of this plant, they know that the secret is in twisting
each strand correctly to prevent breakage. It was a challenge
convert this rustic vegetable fiber utility bag into a capazo that
united the ancient art of artisans with contemporary design.
But the result is a capazo full of shine, which in movement
They give off delicate flashes of light thanks to their
particular materiality.
Part of the "Touring Chile" project, the Nuestra Araucanía Collection seeks to pay tribute to this ancestral object and enhance its value through the use of embroidery and light compositions, transforming it into
a gem in itself.
Each piece unites the rustic beauty of gnocha fiber with embroidery and sparkles of light to create a piece that is both beautiful and meaningful, representing a union of past and present, and a call to care for the environment.
The Arte Plumario Collection is a manifestation of love and passion for birds and their conservation. Based on the study of the ancestral use of headdresses and feathers, their symbolism and worldview, this collection unites sustainability and memory through the design of capazos , giving rise to pieces of art that reinterpret true luxury. A luxury that prioritizes the aesthetic search of design, environmental awareness and cultural rescue.
ISABEL MARGARITA VIAL
The creation of each capazo involves a careful process that begins
after the time of change of plumage of birds, which goes from
October to January of each year. During this time, the birds shed their
feathers to prepare for winter. I personally collect these
feathers and carry out an exhaustive process of washing, disinfecting and
drying, preparing them to form part of each piece.
The inspiration for Feather Art comes from a deep appreciation for birds and their cultural and spiritual significance. Each capazo is a reinterpretation of this symbolism, using real feathers to create a piece that is both a work of art and a statement of conservation and sustainability.
This redefined luxury highlights the
design aesthetics, environmental awareness and cultural rescue, creating truly unique and meaningful pieces of art.
